In 1998 I was commissioned by Anne Basting to make a documentary of her groundbreaking Timeslips Project. Basting who later won a Macarthur Fellowship for her work in developing a therapy based in creative storytelling for Alzheimers sufferers and other people struggling with dementia. In addition to the documentary photographs I made about the dynamics of the storytelling sessions, I also produced this set of portraits, which were included in the New Museum’s “Time of our Lives” show in 1999.
