I shot A Polish Easter in 2005, then turned it into a film in 2010. The pictures were made during a three-day Easter Service at Holy Trinity Church in what once was the heart of Chicago’s Northside Polonia. I found my way there because of an interest I had developed in Polish-American culture, particularly as it manifested itself in Chicago. In fact, I considered it a part of a long-running and never completed project that I called POLONIA USA.
