‘Polka Heartland: Photographs by Dick Blau’
Museum of Wisconsin Art, 205 Veterans Ave., West Bend
The state of Wisconsin and polka have been good dance partners, totally in sync. Artist and photographer Dick Blau explores the state’s dance, an important part of Polish, Slovenian, Dutch and German heritages here. His photographic series is described as an “insightful, humorous and a serious glimpse” into the manifestations of polka culture in our region. Opens Jan. 31.
